The late Dr. Herbert Wigwe, former CEO of Access Holdings, along with his wife Doreen Chizoba and their eldest son Chizzy, have been laid to rest in a private burial ground located at Wigwe University in Isiokpo, Ikwerre Local Government Area of River State, a school that he established.
After the Redeemed Christian Church of God performed the burial, the bodies were transported to a private mausoleum in Isioko and laid to rest on Saturday around 2:45 pm.
The funeral was attended by several dignitaries, and Governor Fubara pledged support for Wigwe University.
The tragic helicopter crash in California that claimed their lives also involved other prominent individuals like the chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc.
During the burial, emotions ran high as the bodies were laid to rest, and it was noted that Wigwe’s father, Pastor Shyngle Wigwe collapsed and had to be taken to the hospital. But it was dismissed as fake news, he did not slump.
