IWD: Tinubu Extols Nigerian Women’s Role in Nation-Building

In commemoration with the celebration of International Women’s Day, President Bola Tinubu has lauded the indispensable role played by Nigerian women in the country’s development.

According to the statement signed by his special adviser on media and Publicity Ajuri Ngelale on Thursday, President Tinubu emphasized that Nigerian women are the cornerstone of the nation’s progress, acknowledging their resilience, strength, courage, and ingenuity across various disciplines.

Quoting Tinubu, the press release highlighted his administration’s commitment to investing in women’s education and empowerment, with a focus on ensuring their active participation in governance and various sectors of the economy. The President emphasized the importance of inclusive programs and initiatives to bolster women’s roles in areas such as knowledge, science, technology, research, and innovation.

With the theme of this year’s celebration tagged ‘Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,’ Tinubu further assured Nigerian women of his administration’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing their welfare, protecting their rights, and advancing their causes.
