Wigwe: “We saw Fireballs on Helicopter Carrying Late CEO of Access Bank before Crashing” – US Agency

A report from the United States agency stated that the helicopter carrying the late CEO of Access Bank, Herbert Wigwe, wife and son was observed as a ‘fireball’ before crashing.

The crash site was found by law enforcement at 2346. According to the NTSB, the wreckage was found in mountainous desert terrain, with debris scattered along a 120° magnetic heading from the initial impact point.

The fuselage was shattered and the cockpit and cabin were destroyed, showing signs of thermal damage.

The flight control components were fragmented, and continuity could not be verified. Despite the damage, all three pitch control links were attached, and the main rotor blades were shattered and fragmented.

On 10th February 2024, it was reported that Wigwe died alongside his wife and son following a helicopter crash in California near the Nevada border, United States of America.
