REVEALED! Kogi, Kwara, Rivers top Lists of States with Highest Inflation Rate, Low Purchasing Power

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has released a report indicating that Kogi, Kwara, and Rivers states have the highest inflation rates in the country.

According to the NBS report, Kogi State leads the chart with an inflation rate of 44.18 percent, followed closely by Kwara at 40.87 percent and Rivers at 40.08 percent.

These figures highlight the significant economic challenges facing these states, as high inflation rates can lead to increased costs of living and reduced purchasing power for residents.

The report also revealed that several other states are experiencing high inflation rates, with Akwa-Ibom at 39.96%, Imo at 39.92%, Osun at 39.72%, Ekiti at 39.63%, Ondo at 39.59%, Abia at 39.58%, and Ebonyi at 39.18%.

These findings underscore the widespread impact of inflation on various regions across the country, indicating a need for targeted economic interventions and policies to address the underlying factors contributing to these high inflation rates.
