Buckingham Palace on Monday revealed that King Charles was iII, and has been diagnosed with cancer for which he is currently receiving treatment.
Buckingham said in a statement it uncovered another worrisome issue which was later confirmed to be a form of cancer through further tests.
In the statement, a copy of which was sighted by the African Health Report Buckingham stated that the King’s initial hospital procedure was for benign prostate enlargement.
The exact details of the cancer diagnosis were not disclosed.
African Health Report authoritatively learnt that Prince Harry and King Charles had a conversation about his diagnosis before the king publicly addressed his health concerns.
According to the statement, King Charles informed his youngest son and his siblings, Prince Andrew, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward, about his diagnosis before it was publicly revealed.
Also, a source confirmed that Harry will be visiting the UK to see his father shortly.
“It is worth noting that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left their senior royal roles and relocated to California in 2020, about two years after their wedding at Windsor Castle”, the statement read.
The palace stated that the king had been advised by doctors to postpone his public-facing duties while receiving regular treatment.
Despite his health situation, the king will continue to fulfil his state and official responsibilities, and he expressed gratitude towards his medical team for their prompt action.
“The announcement of the diagnosis was made to prevent speculation and to provide understanding for those affected by cancer worldwide.
“On January 17, the king underwent a successful procedure for an enlarged prostate and is currently in good condition, Buckingham explained”.
