NAFDAC Alerts Nigerians on Fake Dano Milk Powder in Circulation

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has issued a public alert on the presence of counterfeit Arla Dano Full Cream Milk Powder in Nigerian markets.

The investigation carried out by the TG Arla Dairy Product Enterprise company revealed that these counterfeit products, sold in 14g sachets, are being openly displayed in various markets across states in Nigeria.

As a response, NAFDAC has instructed its Zonal Directors and State Coordinators to conduct thorough surveillance and take measures to remove the counterfeit milk powder from circulation in the affected states.

The agency also urged distributors, retailers, and consumers to exercise caution and vigilance. They recommended carefully checking the authenticity and condition of the product before consumption, sale, or distribution.

Individuals in possession of the counterfeit Arla Dano 14g Full Cream Milk Powder are advised to surrender their stock to the nearest NAFDAC office.

NAFDAC also encourages the prompt reporting of adverse events or side effects related to the consumption of unwholesome packaged food products. The reports can be submitted to the nearest NAFDAC office or through the e-reporting platforms on the agency’s website.
