The Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has announced that Persons Living with Disability (PLWD) can register for the 2024/2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination at no cost.

JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, revealed this while launching the registration process, stating that free application documents will be issued to all categories of PLWD.

“To support the PLWD, JAMB will issue free application documents to all categories of Persons Living with Disabilities in the advertisement for the 2024 UTME/DE.”

Oloyede said in addition to the free registration offer, measures have been put in place to provide audio books for blind candidates, ensuring a smooth exercise for all candidates.

Other groups benefiting from the free registration include those with Down syndrome, Autism, Dyslexia disorder, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

“The following categories of candidates will now be listed under the disability group: Down syndrome, Autism, Dyslexia disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD),” Oloyede said.
