The Nigerian Police Force (NPF, Thursday issued a warning to Nigerians about the 2024 slogan, “No gree for anybody.” said it is capable of stirring up crisis in the country.
Speaking at a conference in Abuja, the Force spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said intelligence reports show that the catchphrase is capable of plunging Nigeria into a crisis of monumental proportions.
Adejobi said although the catchphrase which means ‘do not tolerate any form of nonsense from anybody’ or ‘do not allow yourself to be bullied by anyone’ is being seen as “normal talk”, those in the security community view it as a “dangerous” slogan.
“With this warning, let me reiterate that the new slogan for our young ones in 2024 is ‘No gree for anybody,'” ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi emphasised. “Intelligence reports indicate that this slogan is originating from a revolutionary sector, and its adoption may likely lead to widespread problems across the country. In the security community, we view ‘No gree for anybody’ not as mere talk, but as a provocative slogan capable of triggering a crisis.”
The Nigerian Police, therefore, urges citizens to refrain from using or promoting the slogan, as it poses a direct threat to the nation’s peace and stability.
