13 Injured in Ibadan Expressway Accident

13 persons have been injured in an accident along Ibadan Expressway involving five vehicles.

The incident which happened at 4:55am on Sunday, involved three trucks, a Toyota Corolla marked MUS 793 HM, and a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number FG 369-F20.

Spokesman of the Federal Road Safety Corps (NYSC) in Ogun, Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident to journalists in Abeokuta, adding that it was caused by overspeeding.

She disclosed that the injured victims have been taken to Famobis Hospital, Mowe, for medical attention.

Okpe added that the Ogun Sector Commander, Anthony Uga, urged motorists to always apply caution while driving, and drive defensively.
