The continuous collaboration between the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and various stakeholders has contributed immensely to the successes recorded in the anti-corruption fight, the Nigeria Customs Service has said.

The Assistant Comptroller General of Customs, ACG I.Q Ogbudu, said this on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, in Kaduna, when she led a team of senior officers in the Customs Zone B Headquarters on a courtesy visit to the Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC.

Ogbudu said that synergy with the EFCC encourages and promotes understanding on how best to render support to the Commission in the anti-graft crusade, while explaining that law enforcement agencies need to be closely knitted “as a tree cannot make a forest.” She also applauded the appointment of women as Zonal Commanders in the EFCC.

Responding, the Acting Zonal Commander of the Command, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE I Aisha Abubakar, welcomed the entourage and noted that the Nigeria Customs Service has always been supportive of the anti- corruption fight “because we have over the years carried out so many tasks together geared towards making our country a safe and habitable place”.

She cautioned that there is still a lot to do as stakeholders working towards one purpose of supporting government to achieve its set goals and objectives and stressed that law enforcement agencies must always exhibit professionalism, integrity, hard work and collaboration in the course of carrying out their assignments.
