In commemoration of World Heart Day, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has sponsored a free medical outreach that provided essential healthcare services to over 1000 constituents in Kaduna State.
The event which held in his Zaria Federal Constituency, not only celebrated World Heart Day but also coincided with the Speaker’s 58th birthday on October 1.
World Heart Day, designated by the World Health Organisation on September 29th each year, serves as an annual reminder to raise awareness about heart-related diseases and promote heart-healthy habits among the global population.
According to an official statement signed by the speaker’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, the free medical outreach, done in collaboration with TJ Foundation, World Heart Federation, Mega We Care, among others, was endorsed by notable leaders in Kaduna State including the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, who commended the lawmaker’s effort for coming at the right time.
In a speech delivered at the event by Mallam Iliyasu Balarabe, the Jagaban Iyan Zazzau, Abbas reaffirmed his dedication to enhancing various sectors, including healthcare, in his constituency.
He assured the Emir and the constituents of his unwavering commitment to their welfare and overall development.
