The executive members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has risen from its emergency meeting on tomorrow’s scheduled nationwide strike.

It will meet government representatives shortly before the outcome of the meeting will be made public.

The NLC and Trade Union Congress (TUC) were scheduled to lead workers in a strike tomorrow in protest of the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government without provisions to ameliorate its effect on Nigerians.

However, following a meeting with the representatives of the Federal Government led by the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Labour leaders opted for a meeting with its executives to make a decision on the next step to take.
