Tribunal Victory: Wike Urges Atiku, Obi, to Work With Tinubu

Juliet Jacob Ochenje

The Minister for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike and former governor of Rivers State, has called on the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election, Atiku Abubakar and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Peter Obi, to join hands with the President Bola Tinubu Administration to make Nigeria work.

Wike, a member of the PDP, said this when he spoke exclusively during Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Thursday, on the affirmation of the victory of President Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the Presidential Election Petition Court on Wednesday.

Abubakar and Obi had petitioned the court to challenge the declaration of Tinubu on several grounds, which were all dismissed.

Wike commended the Presidential Election Petitions Court for the judgement and hailed the five man panel of the Tribunal led by Justice Haruna Tsammani for ”painstakingly delivering its judgment.”

Wike had publicly acknowledged that he supported Tinubu and worked against PDP’s Atiku in the last presidential poll.
