Hon. Tajudeen Abass, Speaker of the House of Representatives, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his tribunal win, saying it is further proof of his legitimacy and credibility.
The 2023 Presidential Election Tribunal on Wednesday reaffirmed Tinubu’s victory at the presidential poll after dismissing all petitions against him.
In a statement signed by his special adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, on Thursday, Hon. Abass also commended the judiciary for the way it handled the petition, noting that the judgement has helped strengthen democratic processes in the country.
He added that the tribunal judgment also absolved the Independent National Electoral Commission of all alleged misconducts.
Speaker Abass, however, noted that the petitioners were within their rights to have tabled their grievances to the court and urged them and other Nigerians, regardless of political, ethnic and religious differences, to support the Tinubu administration to achieve a safe and prosperous country for all.
