FG Pledge to Boost African Natural Resources

The federal government is reiterating its commitment to collaborating with other African countries in order to promote sustainable development of the continent’s natural resources.

According to the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Mary Ogbe, the government hopes to work closely with neighboring nations in order to build partnerships and share best practices. By doing this, they hope to support long-term economic growth in the region.

Speaking at the upcoming Africa Natural Resource and Energy Investment Summit (AFNIS-2023) conference, slated to take place on   31st October to 2nd November 2023, Dr.  Ogbe said: “This forum was initiated to strategize on how Africa can continue to receive investment from its vast mineral resource deposits while also protecting its environment. The Summit thus provides a global platform for Africa to encourage investment in its Power, Energy (Oil and Gas) and Mining sectors.”

she urged African Countries and its Allies to participate in building on the successes recorded during the maiden edition of AFNIS held last year.
