The Senate on Thursday received the much awaited list of ministers sent by President Bola Tinubu for screening and confirmation.
Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, announced the receipt of the letter dated 27, July, 2023, from President Tinubu during plenary on Thursday.
Recall that African Health Report (AHR) had earlier predicted that Prof. Ali Pate and Dr. Betta Edu will be nominated to superintend over the health ministry. Read here.
A peep into the 28-man list presented by the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, revealed that former Kaduna Governor, Nasir El-Rufai; controversial Rivers State Ex-Governor, Nyesom Wike and his ex- Jigawa State counterpart, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, made the list.
Others are All Progressives Congress (APC) women leader, Dr. Betta Edu; Prof. Ali Pate of Gavi Vaccine Alliance, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN); Hannatu Masawa; Stella Okotete; Presidential spokesman, Dele Alake; Muhammad Idris and Uju Kennedy Ohaniye.
Olawale Edun, Waheed Adedayo Adelabu and Suleiman Ibrahim were also nominated.
