WHO Unveils Self-care Intervention in Nigeria

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has announced the introduction of a self care intervention in Nigeria.

According to the organisation, the intervention are tools which support the ability of individual, families and communities to promote health, prevent diseases, maintain health and cope with illness and disability, with or without the support of a health workers.

The foremost global health body made this known on its official Twitter handle @WHO on Monday.

It stated: “Self care intervention in Nigeria Include DMPA self injection, HIV self testing, human papilloma virus self sampling, home based ovulation predictor kits, over the counter and oral contraceptive pills.”
