By Gom Mirian

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has inaugurated two Assets Recovery Committees in a bid to recover assets belonging to the government.

The Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the governor, Sir. Tersoo Kula, disclosed this in a statement sent to Africa Health Report (AHR) on Sunday.

Mr. Kula said the committee was grouped into two – one to work at the state level while the other at the local government level.

He said: “The committees are, among other things, mandated to ascertain all assets of the government including lands, vehicles, houses, furniture and
other machinery.

“Similarly, the Governor has inaugurated a Facts Finding Committee for the Benue State University (BSU). The committee has been given its terms of reference and lifespan.”
