Just In: Tinubu Sworn In As Nigeria’s President

Nigeria’s president-elect, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and his running mate Kashim Shettima have taken the oath of office as president and Vice President of Nigeria.

The oath of office was administrated by the Chief of Justice of Nigeria, Kayode Ariwoola on Monday, May 29.

Tinubu, a former senator and Lagos state governor was declared the winner of the February 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The flag bearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC) was said to have polled over 8, 794, 726 votes to defeat his closer rivalry Mr. Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
