Just In: AIT Founder Dokpesi is Dead

The founder, African Independent Television (AIT), and DAAR Communications, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, is dead.

A statement by his son, Raymond Dokpesi Jr. stated that the sad event took place on Monday, May 29, 2023.

Africa Health Report, AHR, gathered that Dokpesi who is also the chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) died at the age of 71 in an Abuja hospital after he suffered from a stroke shortly after the just concluded Ramadan fast.

The AIT boss has since been managing his health and has been placed on occupational therapy to improve his daily activities before his sudden death.

According to his son, “High Chief Dokpesi was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

“High Chief Dokpesi was also a respected and accomplished businessman, a pioneer in the media industry, and a philanthropist who dedicated his life to the service of his country and his community. His legacy will live on through the impact he made on the lives of many,” Dokpesi said.
