“An unknown sickness befell me after I looted a shop during Azimio protests,” A man says

I took advantage of Monday protests as planned by the Azimio brigade and broke into a shop,
little did I know that I was digging my own grave. My name is Delson Chesire from Mathare. On
Monday morning I joined the demonstrations early as planned. I joined the protesters chanting,
“Ruto must” and “unga” among other songs that we sang during the previous two protests.
Suddenly, the police who were well-equipped started throwing teargas canisters at the people
who were protesting.

The war erupted, between us and the police as the police were throwing teargas at us we also
decided to throw stones at the police officers who according to them, the protests were illegal.
Things became worse as they started shooting us with live bullets and rubber bullets at the
same time and that's when we all ran away from the police. Within a few minutes, we
experience some sort of calm as we took a break and thereafter the protest resumed once
again.

I decided not to proceed with taking part in the demos and straight away planned to engage
myself in committing a crime. As I was living the protest I came across a huge shop, I turned
around to look if there was anybody seeing me but there was no one within as people had
gathered together in protest and almost all the businesses shut.

I broke into the shop and stole a bale of unga, 25kgs of sugar, and rice together with Ksh 10k that was in the drawer and successfully walked away with the items. A day after stealing from the shop I started
experiencing some sort of headache, abnormal pain, unable to breathe well. I experienced the
symptoms for a whole day not knowing what was happening.

On Wednesday morning I went to Agha Khan Hospital for a medical checkup and the doctor has
informed me that no disease is found. I started worried and I moved straight to Kenyatta
Hospital where I was told the same thing by the doctor after he examined me after conducting
some tests based on the symptoms I had outlined. I became more worried as the symptoms
worsened and I could not wait to hesitate to look for further assistance other than visiting
hospital. Luckily a friend gave me a native doctor called Dr.Kazimoto who could help.

I took a risk and contacted Dr.Kazimoto and informed him about how I felt. Dr.Kazimoto used his
healing spells and I was healed instantly and I was required to pay a hefty fine as I instructed to
return back the stolen I stole from the shop as that was the only option since the shop had
been protected by Dr.Kazimoto.
