UK, New Zealand top Chart of Countries with High Probability of Recession in 2023 – Report 

 

 

  • Nigerian ranked highest in unemployment with 33.3 percent

A new report released by the world ranking shows that the United Kingdom (UK) economy has a 75 percent chance of falling into recession in the year 2023.

The report tagged: “Recession Probabilities Forecast” was made public on the official Twitter handle @worldranking on Sunday, and shows that India has 0, zero, chance of recession in 2023.

According to the ranking, countries with high chances of a recession in 2023 are New Zealand (70%), USA (65%), Germany (60%), Italy (60%), Canada (60%), and France with 50% respectively.

Meanwhile, countries with a very low probability of recession in 2023 were reported to include; South Africa (45%), Australia (40%), Russia (37.5%), Japan (35%), and South Korea (30%).

Others are Mexico (27.5%), Spain (25%), Switzerland (20%), Brazil (15%), China (12.5%), Saudi Arabia (5%), and Indonesia (2%).

The report also ranked Nigeria highest in terms of unemployment with 33.3 percent closely followed by South Africa with 32.7 percent.
