Pharmaceutical Manufacturers to Partner NIPRD, State Governments

Pharmaceutical manufacturers in Nigeria have now indicated interest to partner with the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD) and state governments in the CPP Projects.

NIPRD is a federal government Parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Health.

The institute is the first in the region to sustainably transit to this latest version-This means that relevant results generated in the Institute are accepted internationally as well as several CoE awards by international bodies.

As an effort synergizing with other government ministries, departments and agencies whose mandate overlap with that of NIPRD, Agencies have been engaged and evidence indicates that this has begun to improve the business milieu.

NIPRD also develops Immunomodulatory Herbal Formation for Covid-19 management.

The Director General , of NIPRD, Dr.Obi Adigwe, in a session presented an immune system booster made from local herbs that can help manage COVID-19.

He said lack of support from development partners,and philanthropists has hampered further research.

He  also appealed  to agencies and individuals and philanthropists to collaborate more with NIPRD to improve more in its system.
