Nigerian Troops Ambush, Kill three Bandits, Seize Weapons

Nigerian troops deployed in Zamfara State in the North West region of the country have killed three terrorists in a firefight.

The military high command made this known on Sunday night in a statement issued in Abuja by its spokesperson, Major General Musa Danmadami.

According to Danmadami, the feat was achieved by troops of Operation ‘Hadarin Daji’ on Sunday in an ambush operation carried out against the bandits at a point leading to Dan Kampani in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

“Troops made contact with bandits and following a firefight, neutralized three terrorists.

“Items recovered are; one  PKT gun with 48 rounds of 7.62mm x 54 ammunition, three AK 47 rifles, three magazines with 63 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and 3 motorcycles.

“The military high command commends troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI and encourages the general public to avail troops of credible and timely information on terrorists and all criminal activities within their area”.
