- Abuja, Calabar, Benue, Lagos Now Refugee Friendly Cities

Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Sadya Umar Farouq has revealed that the federal government has impacted the lives of over 15million Nigerians and their families.
Farouq stated this while presenting her ministry’s score card under the aegis of the Federal Ministry of Information’s “PMB Administration Scorecard,” in Abuja, today.
“Today the Ministry has directly touched the lives of over 15 million individuals and their families. Through the commitment of His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari,” she said
Further according to Farouq, “These life changing programmes are being institutionalized and continue to receive necessary funding.”
She further stated that the federal government, in collaboration with @Refugees, has facilitated signing of the Declaration of Four Cities – Abuja (Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Calabar, Benue and Lagos in Nigeria as Refugee Friendly Cities.
This formal recognition brings up the number to a total of 287 Refugee Friendly Cities in more than 40 countries.
