Nasarawa civil servants back Gov. Sule’s re-election bid – The Sun Nigeria

A group of public and private workers under the aegis of Association of Nasarawa State Tiv Civil Servants has agreed to support the reelection of Governor Abdullahi Sule to ensure his victory at the 2023 General Election.

The workers made the decision during the association’s maiden feast meeting in Lafia the Nasarawa State capital.

In a welcome speech, Chairman of the association, Mr Christopher Ihuman said the workers agreed to support Governor Abdullahi Sule for another term due to his consistent efforts toward reinvigorating the civil service, prompt payment of salaries and entitlements as well as addressing the issue of stagnation of workers on the same level.

“Giving another chance will enable the governor the opportunities to do more on growing the economy, creating more jobs and initiating policies aimed at improving the welfare of workers in the state.”

Mr. Ihuman however appealed to the governor to ensure that adequate security measures were put in place during the elections especially at the polling units in the southern zone of the state to enable voters participate fully in the exercise.

Representing the Governor, Deputy Governor of the state, Dr Emmanuel Akabe stressed that his second term will focus on rural infrastructure, workers welfare and strengthening the health and education sectors if re – elected.

He further appealed to the Tiev nation not to make mistake in voting those they could not trust with power while donating the sun of 1 million naira to support their meeting
