Airline Announces Flight Disruptions for Scheduled Maintenance Between January 4-8

MaxAir Limited has announced temporary disruptions to its flight operations due to scheduled aircraft maintenance from January 4 to 8, 2025.

The airline assured passengers that this necessary maintenance is vital for ensuring continued safety, reliability, and efficiency in its services.

In a statement issued on Sunday, MaxAir management explained, “This necessary maintenance ensures we continue delivering safe, reliable, and efficient services to you.”

During this period, some flight routes may be adjusted or cancelled. However, the airline has confirmed that all operations will return to normal by January 9, 2025.

Passengers affected by the disruptions are encouraged to reschedule their flights without incurring additional charges, as part of the airline’s efforts to minimise inconvenience.

The announcement follows a notable incident in December 2024, where a MaxAir flight carrying Borno State Deputy Governor Alhaji Umar Kadafur experienced a serious engine failure shortly after take off.

The aircraft, en route to Abuja, suffered a bird strike-induced engine fire but was able to make an emergency landing at Maiduguri Airport, preventing a potential disaster.

Despite the incident, MaxAir has emphasised its commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.

The airline reiterated that the temporary maintenance would enhance its ability to provide secure and efficient services moving forward.
