Jigawa Threatens to Shut Down Unapproved Private Schools

The Jigawa State Ministry of Education has issued a stern warning to private schools operating junior and senior secondary school sections without proper authorization.

In a statement released by the Director of Private Schools, Malam Musa A. Ya’u, the ministry emphasized that such schools risk closure.

The ministry has established a committee to conduct inspections of private schools across the state and collect annual registration fees.

Proprietors are urged to ensure that all outstanding debts are settled before the inspection team’s visit.

Private schools that have not obtained the necessary approval to operate junior or senior secondary sections are advised to rectify this immediately.

Failure to comply with this directive will result in the closure of the unauthorized sections.
