Nestlé Nigeria has been recognised as the Best Employer in Food and Beverage at the prestigious Employers Excellence Awards.
The event, organised by the Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA), honoured the company for its outstanding performance in various business metrics, including people practices, sustainability, diversity and inclusion.
This was disclosed by the Corporate Communication and Public Affairs Manager at Nestlé, Victoria Uwadoka, on Friday.
Nestlé Nigeria also scooped additional awards at the ceremony for investment in Sustainability and Green Initiatives, Exemplary Investment in Diversity and Inclusion, and Recognition of Efforts towards the elimination of Child Labour in the Workplace.
The Employers Excellence Awards serves as a platform to recognise organisations that prioritise their workforce and implement policies, systems, and processes that drive competitiveness, enhance productivity, and foster industrial peace and harmony.
This year’s theme, “Against All Odds,” resonated with the challenges businesses faced during these uncertain times.
Nestlé Nigeria also recently received the HR Best Practice Award in the FMCG Sector in Nigeria and secured the 1st Runner Up position for the overall HR Best Practice Award in Nigeria at the 2023 CIPM International conference, organised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM).
Additionally, it was recognised as the organisation with the highest number of Job Placements of Technical Trainees by the NECA-ITF Technical Skill Development Project. It was also named the Best Contributing Employer in Training activities within the Isolo Area Jurisdiction in Lagos State by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) for 2022.
